My unforgettable journey with GiveReads
People remember the reading circle. They forget the tape, the cartons, the inventory list, and the evening spent checking whether a book is actually suitable for a seven-year-old. The journey with GiveReads includes both.
From our base in Webster, New York, the charitable chain is unglamorous on purpose: collect, inspect, pack, ship or carry, place, and then get out of the way so a teacher can do the real work. Volunteers who stay with us learn that literacy aid is logistics plus judgment.
If you have made that journey—or want to—write admin@givereads.org. We would rather have careful hands than a crowded photo.
